Software Used for the SAP R/3 Test

Listed software components were provided by the vendor for test purposes. Alternative client, browser, web server, operating system, and database products may be possible.

Category	Component	Purpose
Application	R/3	R/3 is Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software. This application provides resources needed to process and interpret financial data, handle financial transactions, communicate, and streamline financial processes.
	Business Information Warehouse	The Business Information Warehouse (BW) served as SAP’s primary end-of-cycle reporting source for the test.
Server	mySAP™ Enterprise Portals (mySAP EP)	This server product provides web users with a customizable, single point of access into SAP applications, workflow, data resources, and business intelligence analysis tools.
	SAP Web Application Server (SAP Web AS)	SAP Web AS product provides a common infrastructure for running all mySAP.com components, including SAP R/3 Enterprise. SAP Web AS is a J2EE (Java 2 Enterprise Edition) application server.
Desktop	Microsoft Internet Explorer v5.5	Internet Explorer (IE) is an end-user client (browser). IE processes and displays web pages.
	Microsoft Excel	Excel is a spreadsheet product. Excel was used for some output viewing of SAP’s ad-hoc query and reporting functions and was a required output format for some reports by JFMIP.
	Microsoft Word	Word is document editor. Word was used to transfer screenshots and was a required output format for some reports by JFMIP.
	Adobe Distiller	The Distiller product is required to convert output items to PDF format and was used to prepare the required .pdf output format for some reports by JFMIP.
	Adobe Acrobat	The Acrobat product is used to view PDF formatted items.
